NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Tyrone Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, beginning at 7:00 pm at the Tyrone Township Hall, 8420 Runyan Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan 48430.  The purpose of the Public Hearing is:

To receive public comments regarding the following proposed Special Land Use Permit:

1.  A request by Dr. Susan Abed for a Special Land Use Permit to operate a State-Licensed Residential and Adult Care Facility at her property located at 13520 White Lake Road, Fenton, MI. Parcel ID 4704-13-200-004. The property is zoned RE – Rural Estates.  Reference Tyrone Township’s Zoning Ordinance No. 36, Section 21.42, State Licensed Child and Adult Care Facilities.

NOTICE OF HEARINGS OF PRACTICABILITY AND REVIEW OF LAKE TYRONE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL

TAKE NOTICE that the Lake Tyrone Improvement Board will hold a public hearing on the practicability of a three-year aquatic weed/algae control, aeration program, and dredging feasibility study. The aquatic plant control and aeration program would begin in 2024 and continue through 2026, with a total budget of $533,731.88. The public hearings will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 7:00 pm at Hartland Township Hall, located at 2655 Clark Road, Hartland, Michigan 48353.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a special assessment roll has been prepared and is available for public examination at the Livingston County Drain Commissioner’s website: https://milivcounty.gov/drain/lakes/tyrone/. Said special assessment roll has been prepared for the purpose of assessing the cost of the lake improvement program to benefitting properties.

Immediately following the hearing of practicability, the Lake Tyrone Improvement Board will review said special assessment roll and hear any objections thereto. An owner of or party with interest in real property to be assessed or his/her agent may appear in person to object to the special assessment or may protest such special assessment by letter filed with the Lake Tyrone Improvement Board at or prior to the time of the hearing. Written objections may be filed with the lake improvement board at the office of the Livingston County Drain Commissioner located at 2300 East Grand River, Suite 105 in Howell, Michigan, or mailed to Lake Tyrone Improvement Board in care of the Livingston County Drain Commissioner, 2300 East Grand River, Suite 105 in Howell, Michigan 48843-7581. If the special assessment is protested as provided above, the owner or any party having an interest in the real property may file a written appeal of the special assessment with the Michigan Tax Tribunal or other court of competent jurisdiction within 30 days after the confirmation of the special assessment roll.
