Passport Information
 

Tyrone Township is a one-stop passport acceptance facility; applications and photo availability on site.  Passport fees are set by the U.S. Department of State and are the same at all acceptance facilities.  (Only photo fees may vary.)

Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome!

Please bring:

    1. Drivers License or valid picture ID. 
 
    2. Original birth certificate with raised seal (or naturalization papers). COPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

    3. Check or money order made out to US Dept. of State. Cash and credit cards are NOT accepted.


The original birth certificate or naturalization papers MUST accompany your application and will be returned to you by the U.S. State Department. Please note that birth certificates MAY be returned separately from your passport.

PASSPORT BOOK
  • $110.00 Adults, age 16 and over, valid 10 years.
  • $80.00 Children, under age 16, valid 5 years.


PASSPORT CARD   Not for travel by air.  Valid for land and sea between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean only.

  • $30.00 Adults, age 16 and over, valid 10 years.
  • $15.00 Children, under age 16. valid 5 years.


$25.00 PROCESSING FEE

$10.00 PHOTOS

$60.00 EXPEDITE SERVICE (to receive passport in less than 3 weeks) Expedite service also requires over-night postage.


ENHANCED DRIVER'S LICENSES are obtained from the Secretary of State.  Click here for more information regarding the Enhanced Driver's License.
DETROIT PASSPORT AGENCY


You may schedule an appointment at the DETROIT PASSPORT AGENCY only if:

  • You need your U.S. passport in less than 2 weeks for international travel.
  • You need you U.S. passport within 4 weeks to obtain a foreign visa.

Make an appointment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using the automated appointment system at 1-877-487-2778.
